Products & Features

Yes. The Classic has 6 heat levels ranging from 30–55°C. The Dual Zone model has 3 precise modes (35°C/86°F, 45°C/113°F, 55°C/131°F) and lets you heat the full surface or just one zone independently.

Very little. The hand warmer runs at around 80W and uses about 18 times less electricity than an average space heater, costing roughly $0.02/hour. The foot warmer runs at around 110W (15 times less than a space heater), costing roughly $0.03/hour. Both warm your hands, feet, or desk surface directly instead of heating the whole room.

Yes. Our hand warmers heat edge-to-edge and uniformly across the entire surface, so your hands stay warm even when they're off the keyboard and mouse.

Infrared foot warmers, like ours, use radiant heat to warm you and nearby objects directly, rather than heating the air around you (convection). That means they're quieter, heat more evenly, and work through socks or shoes.

Many customers with Raynaud's phenomenon and circulation issues use heatka products to keep their hands and feet warm hands-free while working, without the dexterity loss gloves cause. They're comfort products, not medical devices, so they don't treat or cure any underlying condition.

The hand warmers are made from durable, water- and stain-resistant PVC leather built to withstand daily use. The foot warmer is built from thick, flame-retardant polypropylene with a graphene heating element, stress-tested to hold a 166kg (366lb) person standing on it without cracking.

Setup, Use & Care

Unroll it and lay it flat on your desk. Plug the cable into the unit and the other end into the wall, then turn it on using the touch-activated control and select your heat level. You'll feel warmth almost instantly, and it fully warms up in under 15 minutes.

Plug it into the wall and flick the ON switch, then choose your warmth level from the available heat settings. You'll feel it start warming instantly and it reaches full heat in under 10 minutes (it may take a little longer the very first time you use it — that's normal).

Yes — both are slim, lightweight, and designed to sit on top of your existing desk surface or a sit-stand converter, so they move with your desk as you raise or lower it. If you're unsure about a specific size or converter, send us the model or dimensions via Contact us and we'll confirm it'll fit.

Yes. The hand warmer radiates enough heat to warm through your preferred mousepad, and your mouse will also work fine placed directly on the surface.

We don't recommend it. Placing a warm hand warmer on cold glass can cause thermal fracturing. We haven't seen this happen in our own testing, but it's a risk we'd rather you avoid.

No. Even at the highest setting (around 55°C on the hand warmer), it isn't hot enough to damage most everyday items. That said, we don't recommend leaving items with large batteries (phones, laptops) directly on the warmer, placing heavy items like books on top of it (this can create a hot spot), or using it on glass surfaces.

We don't recommend using it while standing, but it has been stress-tested with a 166kg (366lb) person standing on it with no cracking or damage.

Yes. Its infrared heating radiates warmth into your socks or shoes so they retain and pass on the heat. It's also safe on carpet and hardwood, thanks to IPX1 water resistance and flame-retardant materials.

Hand warmer: the surface is water- and stain-resistant, so just wipe spills with a damp cloth. Foot warmer: unplug it first, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and let it dry, then use a vacuum through the grid to remove any dust. Don't disassemble either product.

Out of the box, heated products can have a faint new-appliance smell. It's normal and fades within 12–24 hours of first use.

Yes. The hand warmer has an auto-off feature you can set to 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 hours (4 hours by default). The foot warmer has a fixed 4-hour auto-off for safety. The Dual Zone desk mat also includes an hourly sedentary reminder.

No, it needs to be plugged into a wall outlet.

Safety & Certifications

Yes. All heatka products are independently tested to UKCA and CE health, safety, and environmental standards, and include safety features like overheat protection, a temperature sensor, and auto shut-off. The Dual Zone desk mat additionally includes an hourly sedentary reminder for extra peace of mind.

Yes. Every heatka product is rigorously tested, both by us and by accredited independent testing laboratories, to confirm it meets electrical, electromagnetic, and material safety standards. Specific features include auto shut-off, overheat protection, a temperature sensor, IPX1 water resistance (foot warmer), and a fused power plug.

Under normal use, no. We don't recommend covering the unit with blankets or objects, or using it if you have reduced sensitivity to heat, as you may not notice if it becomes too warm for comfort.
